Poster Preparation Guidelines

bullet

Author's are advised to adhere to the following guidelines. Although details of the format are left to the discretion of each author, they should not deviate from the accepted abstract or paper.

bullet

Each poster presentation will occupy a panel of 90 cm wide x 120 cm high.  Plan your display to fit this space.

bullet

The display should present information from left to right. Near the top of the display panel give the title of your presentation and the authors' names and affiliations.

bullet

All illustrations and the written text should be prepared prior to the meeting. Drawings, pictures, charts, graphs, figures, etc., can be placed on a poster board of the proper size and assembled in sections or pieces on the panel. Pins and thumbtacks will be available for mounting your displays. It is easier to mount a few large boards, rather than many small ones.

bullet

Limit your display to the essential data and choose what to include to stimulate discussion. All data should carry the message without requiring any additional comment.

bullet

Most viewers will scan the display for its salient features and when something catches their attention, they will linger for closer study and possible discussion of details with the author.
